We have designed this website to allow everybody, not just Serigne Touba's followers or the Muslims but the entire world , to contribute by posting articles, or  learn from other visitors about Serigne Touba, what his mission was about, what our organization is about. Let us talk about Serigne Touba .  He was born 1855 in Mbacke (Senegal West Africa) and passed away in 1927 At Diourbel, a city not far from Macke and was buried at Touba, a city close to Mbacke, inside the mosque you can see on your right, a very holy shrine. During all his life his was entirely devoted to Islam, his religion, to Allah His God and to the prophet Mohamed (peace on him), his role model. He was a genius and memorized the Coran (the book of Islam) at a very young age. He was very interested in education and always insisted that his followers get an education. He wrote many, many books that are stored in a library called "Daaray Camil" at Touba which means “the house of the sacred books". Serigne Touba, the founder of  "Mouridism" (which is his way of access to Allah) via the prophet Mohamed (peace on him) was a peaceful leader, therefore never believed in using violence. But as he had many followers, the colonizing French forces in Senegal suspected that he was  planning to derail their occupation. For these false allegations,  he was arrested and put in jail for over a period of seven years and he was taken overseas  most of his jail time. This did not affect in any way his faith.  Instead, it allowed him to have more time , away from his followers to write more books and concentrate on his  religion, on what Allah wanted him to focus on, on his mission.  Dear sisters and brothers, a bank account will  be open for this  non profit organization “In Chah Allah” “God willing” and we would like ,  to build here in Columbus Ohio a hose called keur Serigne Touba", "the house of Serigne Touba".  Without your contribution, we won't be able to fulfill this goal . This house will belong to the community. Anyone visiting from abroad could stay there; if you are without a job and a home you could get  shelter there temporarily until you get back on your feet; the funds of this organization would be used to help the ill and the needy of the community. Not long ago, , a follower of Serigne Touba, passed away here in Columbus Ohio after a long Coma. His name is Babacar Sibi (May he rest in peace).  We raised money from left to right ( and even sold the his car) to be able to send him back home to Senegal. Let me ask you this question ladies and gentlemen: If " Serigne Touba's" bank account already existed and had the necessary funds to send this good fellow back home for his burial,  wouldn't this problem be solved easily and with dignity?
